University of West Florida
Complete Florida is partnering with TeacherReady® to help adults who have already earned a bachelor's degree to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to enter the teaching field in as little as nine months. Upon completion of TeacherReady®, you will earn a professional teaching certificate from the State of Florida. Individuals not living in Florida who complete TeacherReady® may be able to transfer the certificate to their state. TeacherReady® has worked with teacher candidates across all 50 states and in 95 countries.
The program curriculum is competency-based and delivered 100% online. New students are enrolled weekly, so you can start at any time. It includes 8 Lessons and a Benchmark Assessment, and field experiences. Field experiences align to the curriculum and for individuals currently working in a school may be completed in your own classroom. The program also allows for 12 credits by proficiency if you select the UWF Master's program in Teacher Education.
The program costs only $5,000, and provides a non-fee payment plan, where you can pay as little as $125 per week! You can use military-related funding sources, including Post 9/11 GI Bill and myCAA. You may also use the AmeriCorps funding and option for non-fee payment plan.
